Our mission

Prosperity comes from productive jobs. Productive jobs come from new export industries.

Export-led growth is the clearest, most reliable engine of development the world has ever found — the path Korea, Singapore, and Rwanda took out of poverty.

But launching a new export industry takes more than a strategy on paper. It takes people inside government with the mandate, the focus, and the management systems to actually execute. That's the gap we close.

Why this works — read the model →

To do it, we form teams with government reformers that pair sharp policy with the systems to deliver. Together, we find and launch new export industries — we kickstart export booms.

Export booms

What an export boom looks like

An export boom is what happens when a country breaks into a new global industry — Rwanda in business services, Bangladesh in garments, Vietnam in electronics. Tens of thousands of productive jobs, almost from nothing.

The Export Boom Atlas maps 80+ of these breakthroughs, illustrating what is possible, and how change happened.

The Model

Form a team. Launch an industry. Repeat.

Small groups of capable, mission-driven reformers have an outsized impact on growth. We build those teams with government — and run a rigorous, repeatable four-step methodology.

1

Form the Team

Partner with a committed government leader and a team with the mandate to act.

2

Identify the Opportunity

Surface high-potential export industries, grounded in evidence.

3

Pinpoint the Barriers

Engage firms directly, then fix the specific constraints holding investment back.

4

Execute the Gameplan

Bring firms in — then run it again in the next industry.

Ready to grow?

We work with three kinds of partners committed to economic transformation.

Funders

Back a model with proof — measurable jobs and incomes per dollar, not reports on a shelf.

Governments

Bring in a team that works inside the system to attract investment to launch export industries.

Development Partners

Channel support into execution capacity that turns strategy into delivery on the ground.
